Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information QuestVedas collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and password. Passwords are stored securely hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them.
• Subscription information: your subscription status and a customer reference from our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• Questions you ask: your messages are processed to generate answers. We do not currently store your chat history on our servers.
• Technical data: essential cookies to keep you logged in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting providers for security.
• Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits and how pages are used (such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type). You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie settings.

How we use it

To provide and secure the Service, manage your subscription, respond to support requests and send essential account emails (such as confirmation and password resets). We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase: authentication and database
• Netlify: website hosting
• Google Analytics: website usage statistics
• Google (Gemini API) and/or Anthropic: generating answers from your questions
• Voyage AI: searching the Vedic texts relevant to your question
• Dodo Payments: payment processing, as Merchant of Record

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time; payment records may be retained by our payment provider as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to its processing. To exercise them, email questvedas@gmail.com.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
